YOUR MISSION
As the Corporate Public Relations Director, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Brand and PR, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company's corporate outreach strategy, as well as strategic public relations initiatives aimed at growing and protecting the company's reputation and brand, among various business audiences. This role will involve overseeing all corporate communications, managing media relations, and leading efforts to effectively communicate key messages to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies that align with the company’s objectives and enhance its corporate image.
- Create and manage annual PR plans and budgets to support organizational goals.
- Media Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and pitch compelling story ideas, manage media inquiries, and coordinate media interviews.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Crisis Management:
- Lead the development and execution of crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for crisis situations, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Content Creation:
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including press releases, speeches, op-eds, and corporate messaging.
- Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across all communication channels.
- Event Management:
- Plan and execute corporate events, press conferences, and media briefings.
- Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and internal teams to ensure successful event execution.
- Performance Measurement:
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives using metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in public relations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or director-level role.
- Proven track record of successful PR campaign development and execution.
- Strong media relations skills with established industry contacts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English and in French.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex situations.
- Proficiency in using PR software, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring a team.
