Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessment and remediation of contaminated sites in Alberta.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities- Prepare, follow, and promote site-specific health, safety, and sustainability plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, our people and clients and the public.
- Lead and coordinate daily field activities and programs.
- Provide mentorship, coaching and training to new hires and team members.
- Completion of Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments.
- Lead groundwater and surface water monitoring programs.
- Lead drilling, borehole logging and monitoring well installations.
- Lead remedial excavation programs.
- Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution.
- Assist project team in the communication, management and cost control associated with various programs.
- Prepare technical reports.
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or University Degree from accredited institution, plus appropriate continuing education;
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team setting;
- 3+ years of practical experience;
- Class 5 driver’s licence;
- Experience in either the oil and gas industry or mining is considered an asset;
