Northern Stations Trainer

Reporting to the Northern Stations Lead Trainer, this position is responsible for ensuring that Northern Stations staff are compliant with training requirements by developing, issuing, training and monitoring department training across the Northern Stations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

· Maintain training records for Northern Stations staff network-wide

· Assist with creating Pelesys courses and job aids

· Assist with hands on training within the Northern Station department

· Conduct operational audits to ensure that SOPs are followed by staff network-wide

· Support the creation, maintenance, upload, issuance and tracking of Northern Stations training in the Company’s online learning management software (LMS) system and facilitate in person training as needed

· Onboarding of new hires and role familiarization including documentation

· Travel to Northern Stations on a weekly basis to deliver in-person training

· Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Certification

· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent

· Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant professional or leadership experience with First Nations organizations

· Previous political experience as an elected official, preferably as a Chief

· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

· Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations

Working Conditions

· Physically able to perform all listed job duties

· Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role

· Maintain residency in the applicable region

· Shift work

· Able to attend meetings and conduct presentations
