Job Title: Project Manager - Specialising In Utilities

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients They are currently looking for a skilled Project Manager specialising In Utilities to join their team for a six-month contract.

Please note it's an important criteria that you must have worked on projects for utilities customers.



Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

Experience managing a multi-skilled team to deliver a wide variety of projects (both time and commercially sensitive)

Experience in delivering change projects resourced through a mix of permanent, contractor and managed service resource.

Proven commercial understanding, with ability to manage key supplier relationships.

IT control frameworks e.g. COBIT, ITIL, and methodologies / standards CMMI, PRINCE program and project management etc.

Delivering projects in an environment where both waterfall and agile methodologies co-exist

Experience delivering medium to complex projects and delivering project outcomes for impacted areas, such as process improvement, service management, IT governance, program management

Good knowledge of program governance processes, sourcing governance, portfolio management processes and demand management processes



Required Skills/Experience:

Technical understanding of the development life cycle and the role of project delivery in a complex IT environment

Positive attitude to developing professional knowledge, expertise and personal skills that lead to increased effectiveness

Sound interpersonal skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, maintaining effective relationships

Skills in written and verbal communication at all levels in an organisation

Ability to achieve desired outcomes through influence and negotiation, including via internal IS resources, third party suppliers, business resources and senior executives

Ability to learn rapidly to meet new challenges whilst maintaining a positive and optimistic outlook

Actively removes any boundaries to create an environment that promotes and encourages teamwork

Oversees the quality and appropriateness of the work performed to ensure it delivers measurable business benefits
