About the Role
The Associate Director, Administrative Technical Solutions oversees the University's administrative systems, such as the client relationship management, pension, health and counselling, building and security management, parking, ticket management, and business intelligence services and systems, including the selection, design, delivery, continuous improvement, maintenance, and operations of the portfolio of services and systems. Working in partnership with members of the University community, the Associate Director, Administrative Technical Solutions creates strategic plans based on organizational goals, and oversees the development of actionable projects and resource work plans based on these strategic plans. The role ensures administrative systems and interfaces are consistent with ITS architectural principles and practices and ensures an appropriate balance between technical and functional resources supporting the overall goals of the Department.
Full Job Description
Qualifications
Master's degree in Computing Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and eight years of related experience in areas such as working as an Applications Developer working with enterprise applications preferably in the post-secondary education or public domain, with at least three of those years managing or supervising operational teams, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of strategic planning and the provision of administrative systems and services.
- Excellent knowledge of software system development and management, business analysis, IT project management, and IT system architecture.
- Excellent knowledge of business requirements and best practices in deploying open-source, commercial, and in-house applications.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and change management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others, with competing interests, and with divergent groups to bring about positive change.
