The Company:
Our Client is a leading global technology solutions provider to the food processing industry that specializes in best-in-class portioning, dividing, depositing, forming and filling equipment for meat, bakery, dairy, and pet food processors.
The Opportunity:
You will be responsible and accountable for growing sales within some specialized processing product lines. The goal is to assist Territory Managers with identifying and qualifying opportunities for processing line solutions, customer presentations, technical support, assist in commissioning and testing, and increase company understanding of our Client's product offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical sales expert for all of the Inotec and Velati product lines including all cutters, grinders, emulsifiers, de-clippers, blenders, and mixers.
- Be the in-house champion to promote and propose full line processing solutions.
- Demonstrate and operate Inotec and Velati equipment.
- Train Territory Managers on Inotec and Velati technology.
- Be the primary liaison with Inotec-Germany and Velati Italy on all aspects of the business including machines and parts support.
- Participate in various phases of the sales cycle including general presentations, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Develop an effective travel schedule to cover all sales territories.
- Prepare sales presentations and written reports in support of the sales process.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, company training seminars, industry association meetings, and trade shows.
- Always remain presentation ready and maintain a high level of Inotec, Velati, and our Client's equipment knowledge.
- Maintain knowledge on competition, competitive issues, and markets.
- Support the Territory Managers with sales forecasts as required.
- Maintain accurate records of customer-related communications and activities.
- Assist Territory Managers with appropriate product and machine questionnaires with each project.
- Interpret, edit, and create line layout drawings in DWG/DXF format using 2D CAD software.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or food science.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in capital equipment sales or similar technical responsibility.
- Knowledge of meat processing and/or similar food and beverage processing operations.
- Knowledge of Inotec technology or similar equipment for mixing, emulsifying, thermal processing, and blending food products at the industrial level and scale.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and how it relates to food processing.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services.
- Experience with business intelligence and data analysis software as well as customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Proficient with DraftSight or related 2D CAD software.
Skills:
- Technical experience in capital equipment in a B2B environment.
- Ability to effectively influence others and strong active listening skills.
- Bilingual, proficient in both English and French (desired).
- Ability to adjust actions or plans in relation to others’ actions.
Abilities:
