We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and manage projects within the Data Office's Delivery team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in project management methodologies and a solid understanding of various technologies. This role requires someone who can effectively guide cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deliverables on time, with minimal risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop, define, and implement comprehensive project plans, encompassing scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs, and deliverables. Ensure alignment with business objectives and adherence to specifications and standards. Maintain an agile backlog, define project requirements, and build user stories.
  • Leadership & Team Coordination: Lead, motivate, and manage diverse project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Facilitate clear communication and coordination among stakeholders, including development teams, QA analysts, data scientists, and business units. Conduct regular status and delivery meetings, ensuring both technical and non-technical team members are aligned. Collaborate with other project managers to identify and implement best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, driving stakeholder meetings and consistently communicating project status, risks, and changes. Ensure expectations are aligned and informed decisions are made throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk & Resource Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation and contingency plans to ensure project success. Effectively allocate and manage resources to meet project deliverables within established timelines and budget constraints. Monitor progress and adjust resources as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance project management processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Encourage innovation and the adoption of new technologies where applicable.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough project documentation, including plans, reports, and presentations. Ensure stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date project information.
  • Budget Management: Prepare both standard and ad hoc delivery and budget reports for the Data Office teams and leadership. Oversee and facilitate the initiative estimation process and manage the consolidated Data Office project budgets.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role, with a strong background in software development, data engineering, data analysis, or data science.
  • Deep knowledge of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum), and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams toward achieving project objectives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and workshops.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder, risk, and change management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with a strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, and critical thinking.
  • PMP or Agile project management certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing project budgets and resource allocation.
