Position: Logistics CoordinatorAs a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in nurturing relationships with customers and suppliers through effective communication, streamlined processes, and exceptional service. You will support the logistics team with your analytical tasks. This full-time role reports directly to the VP of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:- Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Analytical Support: Provide various analyses to the VP of Operations related to forecasting and distribution.
- Shipment Coordination: Oversee shipments from start to finish, including:
- Issuing shipping instructions and purchase orders
- Securing bookings and monitoring loading
- Approving and managing documentation
- Tracking containers in transit
- Entering data accurately into our system
- Ensuring seamless communication between warehouse, production, dispatch, carriers, and customers
- Approving vendor bills and issuing invoices
- Preparing import documentation and coordinating customs clearance and deliveries
- Service Excellence: Ensure high service levels for internal and external customers through continuous process improvement and prompt issue resolution.
- Customer Interaction: Respond to incoming calls and inquiries, and prepare delivery reports as needed.
- Financial and Operational Metrics: Manage detention, resolve invoice discrepancies, achieve benchmark.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Effective multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking and enthusiasm for presenting new ideas
- Ambition for personal development and supporting team members
