The International Projects Coordinator supports the Manager, International Projects by coordinating Durham College’s (DC’s) international projects in alignment with DC’s Internationalization and Engagement Plan. The incumbent coordinates assigned international development projects directly contracted to the College through such agencies as; Global Affairs Canada, Colleges and Institutes Canada, and other donors. Working closely with the Manager, International Projects, the incumbent will collaboratively contribute to developing new projects and partnerships, lead the project progress, and provide coordination of travel logistics for all Durham faculty members and staff and delegations to DC in accordance with project workplans, performance monitoring systems, and budgets.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following; preliminary research of project and partnership opportunities and; supporting the implementation of projects; lead planning for project activities; managing outgoing and incoming delegation logistics; manage project financial and narrative reporting and project monitoring and evaluation; and manage communication and promotion of project activities and results.

**DUTIES**:

- Create and maintain a matrix of annual activities, project reports, and summary communication documents for international projects
- Track and monitor project progress in line with project workplan, contract, and project deadlines
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing delegation scheduling, logistics and travel support, including logistics checklist, confirmations, swag, transportation, meals, room bookings, agenda/schedules, prep of per diems for incoming delegations and pre-departure packages for delegations and DC faculty and staff travelling abroad.
- Host project participants on campus during training events (may include occasional evenings & weekends)
- Develop and execute communications materials that profile international project activities, including social media content
- Identify and respond to business and funding opportunities for international development initiatives that align with DC’s strategic direction, areas of expertise and past partnership experiences in consultation with the Manager, International Projects
- Prepare financial and narrative reports for projects quarterly and semi-annually, respectively. This volume is significant and reflective of DC’s multi-year, multimillion-dollar projects
- Work with DC’s internal stakeholders to review new project opportunities, engage staff participation, and support DC project partners in delivering collaborative, partner-drive capacity building expertise
- Work with DC’s external and international stakeholders and beneficiaries to support and keep project progress on track
- Professional development and other duties as assigned. This may include occasional participation in project activities as part of an outgoing delegation, including international or domestic travel.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a 3-year diploma or degree in International Business, Business Administration, Marketing/Advertising, with course(s) in Project Management].
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in experience with complex project teams, such as multi-institution international project teams, including:

- experience coordinating and communicating with external funders
- experience developing and maintaining quarterly and annual financial reports and budgets
- Work experience in international education at a post-secondary institution
- Advanced skills utilizing project management tools.
- Strong critical thinking, judgment
