Brandt is currently seeking a Director of Sales - Trailers Canada for our Transportation division. This position is responsible for developing, managing and supporting sustained and profitable growth in sales of trailer products including heavy haul and specialty trailers. The Director of Sales will be responsible for maximizing sales, market share, and profitability in the given geographical area.


Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all Dealers are capable of handling the Brandt product line.
  2. Participate with VP of Sales and local Territory Manager in developing and implementing plans for growing Brandt sales within the territory.
  3. Aid the sales team in achieving Brandt’s product sales growth by providing a high level of product, application, industry, customer, and competitor knowledge.
  4. Coordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for regional sales as scheduled.
  5. Drive sales for Brandt Heavy Haul Trailers through Brandt Peterbilt & John Deere dealers while also analyzing the region marketplace to determine the best branch sales channel for Brandt Heavy Haul Trailers.
  6. Research and track competitor product pricing levels, activities, programs, and tactics.
  7. Provide market intelligence and feedback to ensure Brandt’s pricing, programs, and marketing strategies are positioned to penetrate new markets and grow existing markets profitably.
  8. Identify attachment product development opportunities that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and deliver increased profit opportunities for Brandt.
  9. Provide insights and input on the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and profitability goals as per BES' business objectives for various product categories.
  10. Assist product line asset management goals on turns and aging as well as protection of company assets.
  11. Participate in end customer visits with the sales teams as required.
  12. Extensive travel throughout the region network, sometimes alongside Brandt’s sales teams to actively support direct visits with major John Deere Dealers and Brandt Peterbilt dealer contacts and their customers (up to 3 weeks in a month).
  13. Establish personal relationships with Branches.
  14. Ensure Branches are educated on all aspects of Brandt Sales, Service, and Finance.
  15. Assist Branches with any and all sales and marketing opportunities, which could include advertising, demonstrations, field days, and open hours.
  16. Provide input into Sales Program Development & Product Development.
  17. Assist in coordinating trade shows and attending trade shows in their territory.
  18. Other duties as assigned.
