(Senior) Analyst, Supply Planning - 12 month contract

Location: Markham, Ontario (hybrid)

Reports To: Manager, Supply Planning

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring supply compliance to support the Consensus Demand Plan, through effectively managing product replenishment, inventory levels by SKU by JMS Distribution Centre (DC) to meet or exceed all critical service, operating working capital (OWC) and financial results.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY

Inventory Management & Production Planning

  1. Analyze and determine replenishment requirements to ensure available finished goods inventory that supports customer service while minimizing supply chain costs.
  2. Maintain the data integrity of the Blue Yonder database for supply planning.
  3. Where applicable, ensure the production schedule is executable by individual plants and co-packers.
  4. Monitor and manage production adherence and attainment to ensure key supply chain objectives are achieved.
  5. Facilitate the review and resolution of potential inventory shortages, including identification of root cause for product stock-out and address issues proactively.
  6. Act as single point of contact for customer planning in identifying supply solution alternatives.
  7. Lead recommendation for inventory allocation when Supply cannot meet Demand Plan.
  8. Review and report Inventory Aging Report monthly and identify aging issues vs Obso budget. Recommend and action opportunities to mitigate write-off cost.
  9. Responsible for on-boarding and training new co-packers.

Inventory Movement

  1. Create truckload shipments (inter-company & co-packer) maximizing warehouse shipping and receiving efficiencies.
  2. Identify inventory imbalances and/or shortages and prepare an appropriate stock transfer to optimize days of supply.
  3. Manage deployment activities in support of special projects and acquisitions/divestitures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

  1. University degree/college diploma or relevant experience.
  2. Min 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience (preferably in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Operations, and/or Inventory Management).
  3. Excellent analytical skills & strong desire to identify improvement opportunities.
  4. Strong communication/relationship building skills.
  5. Strong software skills – Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point and Spotfire or similar reporting analytic tools.

Additional skills/experience that would make someone successful in this role:

  1. Previous exposure or experience in a North American multi-plant/co-packer and regional DC environment.
  2. Project management experience or familiarity with project management concepts and principles.
  3. System knowledge in IMI, PPS, Blue Yonder, Oracle Purchasing or other supply chain planning systems.
  4. Superior organization and prioritization skills.
