Position Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring supply alignment with the Consensus Demand Plan. This position focuses on managing product replenishment and maintaining optimal inventory levels across various distribution centers to achieve key service and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Production Planning
- Evaluate and establish replenishment needs to guarantee sufficient finished goods inventory while minimizing supply chain expenses.
- Ensure the accuracy of the supply planning database.
- Confirm that production schedules are feasible for all manufacturing sites and co-packers.
- Oversee production compliance to meet critical supply chain goals.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential inventory shortages, including analyzing root causes for stock-outs.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer planning, offering supply solution alternatives.
- Recommend inventory allocation strategies when supply constraints arise.
- Conduct monthly reviews of the Inventory Aging Report, identifying aging concerns and recommending actions to mitigate potential write-offs.
- Facilitate the onboarding and training of new co-packers.
Inventory Movement
- Coordinate truckload shipments to maximize shipping and receiving efficiencies.
- Identify and address inventory discrepancies through appropriate stock transfers.
- Manage deployment efforts for special projects and organizational changes.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree or relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, particularly in Supply Planning, Production Planning, or Inventory Management.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying improvement opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiar with reporting tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a multi-plant or regional distribution center environment.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning systems.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
