OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist with expertise in Esri ArcGIS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset management solutions, mobile field forms, and the configuration of GIS. This role will involve analyzing business processes, developing solutions, and ensuring the effective use of GIS technology to meet organizational goals.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Lead solution workshop and technical knowledge transfer activities.
  • Contribute to analysis of business processes, needs analysis, and functional requirements definition.
  • Design, setup and configure ArcGIS Online to implement asset management solutions, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of assets, and tight integration with existing deployment for maps.
  • Develop workflows for asset management using GIS technology.
  • Design and implement mobile field forms for data collection and field operations.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a business systems analyst / application specialist role with a focus on GIS and/or asset management-based systems.
  • Proven experience with ESRI ArcGIS software suite.
  • Experience with data structuring/modeling, application design and consulting related to asset management, and work management systems as they relate to enterprise GIS.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS, preferably ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience with asset management software (e.g., Cityworks, Infor, or similar).
  • Familiarity with mobile data collection tools and software (e.g., Survey123, Collector for ArcGIS).
  • Knowledge of SQL and database management.
  • Prior experience in the water and/or utilities sector is an asset.
