Adecco is currently recruiting for a Bilingual Technical Writer. This is a 11 month On-site contract opportunity with a possibility of extension. This role is with one of our government client based in Ottawa. The successful candidate must be eligible for Secret Security Clearance.
The Bilingual Technical Writer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Analyzing material, such as specifications (Technical Statement of Work/Requirement), notes, drawings, writing manuals, user guides and other documents to explain the requirement clearly and concisely;

  • Modifying, validating and compiling documents such as technical publications in general, specifications, equipment and system data lists, drawings etc;

  • Gathering information, analyzing the subject and the audience, and producing clear documentation;

  • Studying existing material and interviewing Stakeholders;

  • Creating accurate, complete and concise documentation to communicate the needs of the requirement;

  • Assimilating and conveying technical material in a concise, effective manner;

  • Following governmental publishing guidelines;

  • Reviewing documents, drawings and associated data for conformance to established standards;

  • Planning, researching and writing manuals, specifications and other non-journalistic articles;

  • Using word-processing, desk-top publishing and graphics software packages to produce final camera ready copies;

  • Translating English technical documentation to French and vice-versa.

The Bilingual Technical Writer must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of sixty (60) months experience, within the last one-hundred-and-twenty (120) months, preparing, modifying, and updating technical orders or other technical documentation.

  • Must have a minimum of sixty (60) months experience, within the last one-hundred-and-twenty (120) months, translating technical orders or other technical documentation from English to French.

  • Must have experience preparing, modifying, and updating technical orders or other technical documentation;

  • Must have experience translating technical orders or other technical documentation;

  • Must have work experience in the area of ammunition and explosives or, weapons and weapon systems or, military munitions;

  • Must have a certificate/qualification related to the field of Ammunition and Explosives. Any of Ammunition Technical Officer (ATO) (AEXN), Ammo Engineer (AEXO), Rank Qualification (RQ) 6 Ammunition Technician (Ammo Tech) or other client approved alternatives.

Bilingual Technical Writer

Ce rôle est confié à l'un de nos clients gouvernementaux basé à Ottawa. Le candidat retenu doit être éligible à une habilitation de sécurité Secret.

Le rédacteur technique bilingue aura les responsabilités suivantes :

·        Analyser le matériel, tel que les spécifications (énoncé technique des travaux/exigences), les notes, les dessins, rédiger des manuels, des guides d'utilisation et d'autres documents pour expliquer l'exigence de manière claire et concise ;

·        Modifier, valider et compiler des documents tels que des publications techniques en général, des spécifications, des listes de données d'équipements et de systèmes, des dessins, etc. ;

·        Recueillir des informations, analyser le sujet et le public et produire une documentation claire ;

·        Étudier le matériel existant et interroger les parties prenantes ;

·        Créer une documentation précise, complète et concise pour communiquer les besoins des exigences ;

·        Assimiler et transmettre du matériel technique de manière concise et efficace ;

·        Suivre les directives gouvernementales en matière de publication ;

·        Examiner les documents, les dessins et les données associées pour vérifier leur conformité aux normes établies ;

·        Planifier, rechercher et rédiger des manuels, des spécifications et d'autres articles non journalistiques ;

·        Utiliser des logiciels de traitement de texte, de publication assistée par ordinateur et de graphisme pour produire des copies finales prêtes à être photographiées ;

·        Traduire la documentation technique de l'anglais vers le français et vice-versa.

Le rédacteur technique bilingue doit satisfaire aux exigences obligatoires suivantes :

·        Doit avoir un minimum de soixante (60) mois d'expérience, au cours des cent vingt (120) derniers mois, dans la préparation, la modification et la mise à jour de commandes techniques ou d'autres documents techniques.

·        Doit avoir un minimum de soixante (60) mois d'expérience, au cours des cent vingt (120) derniers mois, dans la traduction de commandes techniques ou d'autres documents techniques de l'anglais vers le français.

·        Doit avoir de l'expérience dans la préparation, la modification et la mise à jour de commandes techniques ou d'autres documents techniques ;

·        Doit avoir de l'expérience dans la traduction de commandes techniques ou d'autres documents techniques ;

·        Doit avoir une expérience de travail dans le domaine des munitions et des explosifs ou des armes et systèmes d'armes ou des munitions militaires ;

·        Doit détenir un certificat/qualification lié au domaine des munitions et explosifs. N'importe quel agent technique des munitions (ATO) (AEXN), ingénieur en munitions (AEXO), qualification de rang (RQ) 6 technicien en munitions (Ammo Tech) ou toute autre alternative approuvée par le client.
