Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Safety: Ensure operating machines are functioning safely and properly throughout repairs, modifications, and installations.
  • Machine Installation: Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
  • Inspect Equipment: Inspect and examine equipment upon arrival for irregularities and malfunctions and communicate with engineering, management, and other trades colleagues as needed to help determine a suitable course of repair.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright (433A)
  • 3+ years of post-apprenticeship experience in assembly, repair and overhaul of pumps and mechanical rotating equipment
  • Previous experience working in a pump or valve shop is preferred but not required.
  • Troubleshooting experience and computer knowledge is a plus
