The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Millwright Technician to join our team at Wajax. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing causes for breakages, repairing hydraulic components, and ensuring the maintenance of a safe work environment.
The Role
- Complete dismantle and inspection of components, as well as a comprehensive service report with accurate measurements related to these components.
- Build, repair, service, and troubleshoot various hydraulic components.
- Test rebuild components or systems to acceptable results.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop and work area to ensure a safe work environment, performing various cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings.
- Additional responsibilities as requested.
The Candidate
We are looking for a candidate with a post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanics, Hydraulics, Millwright, or equivalent experience. Fluid Power Training is an asset. Basic machining knowledge is required, and fabrication experience and basic electrical knowledge are considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of heavy-duty tools and equipment, be mechanically inclined with a good learning capacity, and be able to effectively communicate technical issues.
