Office Location: Downtown Edmonton
Details: 5 days a week/40 hours per week/3 days at the client site and 2 days remote.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Document Control Specialist to join our engineering team in a secondment role to support one of our key clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with their document control team in managing and maintaining all project-related documents and records, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with company and industry standards.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Maintain and manage all project documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ensure documents are properly filed, indexed, and accessible to relevant team members.
  • Control the distribution and revision of documents, ensuring the latest versions are available.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company and industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor document control processes and procedures, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to facilitate efficient document control and management.
  • Provide training and support to team members on document control procedures and best practices.
  • Generate and maintain document control reports and logs.
  • Prepare documentation for project meetings and presentations.
  • Utilize document control software and systems to manage electronic and physical documents.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any document control system issues.
  • Other tasks as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in document control within an engineering or construction environment.
  • Proficiency in document control software and systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
