The Opportunity:

The Role:

As an Automotive Sales Software Trainer (DTO Trainer - Sales), you will provide support and training to new and existing customers on our Dealer Management Software (DMS). Leading up to the implementation of our software, you will be responsible for assisting customers with virtual training, online and on the phone. DTO Trainers also assist customers onsite in person, when required, with new software install training. This position is based out of our Calgary office and requires frequent travel to our customer sites throughout North America. This is not a remote work opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Learn and develop an understanding of the PBS software
  2. Learn and develop an understanding of the process for training customers on the PBS software
  3. Learn and develop an understanding of data entry and other key tasks
  4. The ability to complete the payroll module – if applicable
  5. Become an install resource without assistance
  6. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks without direction from Team Leads
  7. Take the initiative to learn new products to increase knowledge
  8. Provide excellent support to our customers in our software
  9. Be able to talk about and navigate our DMS Software to assist customers
  10. Work directly with customers and train all sessions in assigned silo and if possible other silos
  11. Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying needs and ensuring they are met or exceeded
  12. Respond to both internal and external training requests in a timely manner
  13. Write up tickets and investigate issues that arise and escalate issues to the corresponding teams
  14. Create and maintain a positive work environment
  15. Knowledge sharing within own silo and others within DTO
  16. Maintain documentation and update as processes change within department
  17. Willingness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
  18. Ensure DTO queue is monitored
  19. Customer focus / excellent customer service skills
  20. Willingness to go the “Extra Mile”
  21. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the sales area of a dealership preferred
  2. 1-2 years’ previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment or PBS is preferred
  3. High School Diploma
  4. Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  5. Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills
  6. Effective time management & organizational skills
  7. Strong multi-tasking & prioritization
  8. Strong documentation abilities
  9. Excellent communication skills
  10. Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  11. Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 2 weeks per month; proof of valid passport and/or US visa (if applicable) and valid full class driver’s license is required
