Is this job right for you?
The ideal candidate will possess the following skillsets & behaviours:
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- displays mature and professional conduct, when dealing with executive team and colleagues (onsite workers and remote workers)
- proficient with Windows computer; Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- at least 3 years experience with office administration and bookkeeping entries
- confident using QuickBooks, or similar program for data entry and bookkeeping
- assertive and mature outlook in problem solving, with good customer service skills
- very organized, able to meet deadlines and prioritize weekly and monthly tasks
- post secondary education in Accounting/Bookkeeping is an asset
Responsibilities include:
- bookkeeping tasks including invoicing, accounts payable, bank account reconciliations, credit card reconciliations
- semi monthly payroll submission and benefit plan administrator
- accounts receivable collections
- providing updates / feedback to CEO & CFO as required for onsite business activities
- filing and retrieving corporate documents; tracking renewal dates and providing information for annual corporate licenses and insurance
- opening, sorting and distributing incoming faxes, emails, mail and other correspondence
- administrative assistance to Finance group, Operations Director as required
