Job Description

Our non-profit client in Fredericton, NB is in search of an Accounting Clerk to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this contract role will play a key role in the administration of the financial operations of the organization, crucial for maintaining financial health and supporting overall operations.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Accounts payable entries
  • Accounts receivable entries
  • Payroll processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Cashflow monitoring
  • Month-end support
  • Tax filing and compliance
  • Support with financial audits
  • Other support tasks as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting; or equivalent combination of experience, skills & education
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting support or bookkeeping role
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Previous experience in a non-profit and/or cultural institution environment is an asset
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Office 365 and QuickBooks is required and experience with Salesforce is considered an asset
  • Positive and motivated with a team-focused approach
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High level of flexibility when working with others and superior interpersonal and relationships building skills
