*GENERAL SUMMARY:*

Cleveland Clinic Canada is searching for a casual Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to perform general x-rays, BMD examinations, and mammograms (mandatory). As the sole MRT on site, the position includes additional administrative responsibilities including imaging related data-entry and film library duties outlined below.

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*

_Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities_
* Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario and Certification with the Canadian Association of Radiation Technologists (O.A.M.R.S. & C.A.M.R.T).
* Graduate of an approved training program in Radiography
* Certifications in BMD and mammography preferred.
* Strong IT skills including familiarity (and troubleshooting) with PACS.
* Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to deal effectively with patients and their families, co-workers, physicians, and other health care staff.
* Strong sense of personal and professional accountability, flexibility, and initiative to achieve high quality examinations and overall functioning of the department.

_Required Length and Type of Experience_
* At least 2 years general radiography experience

*PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Perform all routine radiographic examinations within the department.
* Document all communications with patient or other health care providers in the electronic medical record.
* Administrative duties including data-entry of radiography examinations for billing purposes, ensuring reports are received in a timely fashion, contacting the radiologist for any addendums that are required and ensuring follow up examinations are completed.
* Minor film library duties, including requesting external imaging, and preparation of CDs to be sent externally, and uploading images into PACS.
* Oversee smooth operation of the imaging department.
* Maintain CME activity as per C.M.R.T.O requirements.
