Job Description

The Benefits & Disability Coordinator will be part of the team responsible for the management of group insurance, group RRSP and disability management for all of Canada.

What you're responsible for:

  • Coordinating group insurance and RRSP eligibility
  • Validating completed enrolment forms and communicating with employees if corrections are required.
  • Validating employees requests for insurance coverage changes and process them in relevant systems.
  • Calculating group insurance premiums upon request from stakeholders.
  • Following up on payment of premiums for employees on sick, work accident, parental or other leaves and liaise with the inter-department stakeholders.
  • Communicating and updating the various tools available to employees in connection with group insurance and group RRSPs and ensuring the education of such programs.
  • Followingup on short and long term disability files for the divisions in Canada
  • Acting as the contact person for the broker and insurer for the divisions in Canada
  • Following up on employees on temporary assignment and coordinate with supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in benefits and disability management.
  • HR Degree or diploma or relevant program.
  • Strong knowledge of MS programs.
  • Thoroughness and discretion while handling confidential information.
  • Autonomy, an analytical mind and to be objective in the performance of activities.
