La sélection à ce poste requiert une entrevue.

Conduire les véhicules de l’entreprise, livrer et ramasser efficacement des colis en demeurant disponible pour changer d’affectation entre au moins 15 routes. Travailler comme messager sans forcément avoir de route attitrée.

Donner l’exemple aux employés horaires en devenant un mentor et en faisant figure de modèle de comportement notamment dans la communication, la résolution de conflit et le leadership (en appliquant les meilleures pratiques)

Favoriser la poursuite des ventes et générer des revenus supplémentaires potentiels dans la mesure du possible

Educational Requirements

High school diploma/equivalent

Related Experience Requirements

Minimum number of years required for entry to this job

One (1) year of previous courier experience

Amount of time required to learn or adjust to the job

Six (6) months

Special Notes:

Incumbent(s) of this position do not have regularly assigned routes. They provide coverage for open routes in the absence of the normally assigned courier.

The requirement of DG specialist is dependent upon station size and location. Senior Management (MD level) has the right to override these requirements as it sees fit.

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid knowledge of the following:

Must possess a valid drivers licence and have a good driving record.

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including completing and maintaining DG certification). Must maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training prior to expiration.

Ability to gain and maintain FedEx DG Specialist certification

Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations.

Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Some knowledge of Federal Express operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.

In the Province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English).

Interpersonal Skill Requirements

Excellent human relations, customer relations and communication skills.

Good analytical, problem solving, prioritization and organization skills

Remarques :

Le titulaire de ce poste n’a pas de route attitrée. Il couvre les routes dont le messager attitré est absent.

L’exigence de certification comme spécialiste des matières dangereuses dépend de la taille et de l’emplacement de la succursale. La haute direction (niveau D.G.) peut outrepasser cette exigence selon son bon jugement.

Exigences techniques

Solide connaissance de ce qui suit :

Permis de conduire en règle et bon dossier de conduite.

Réussir la formation de base et la formation périodique (y compris l’obtention et le maintien d’un certificat de marchandises dangereuses). Conserver son accréditation par des formations périodiques avant la date d’expiration.

Obtenir et garder la certification de spécialiste en matières dangereuses de FedEx

Bien comprendre les services de FedEx, leurs modalités et le fonctionnement général de l’entreprise.

Pouvoir soulever des charges de 70 lb et de manoeuvrer, avec l’aide d’un appareil approprié, des colis pesant jusqu’à 150 lb.

Une certaine connaissance des activités de Federal Express et de la réglementation douanière canadienne constitue un atout.

Au Québec, le candidat ou la candidate doit être bilingue (français et anglais).

Relations interpersonnelles

Maîtriser avec excellence les relations humaines, le service à la clientèle et la communication.

Bien maîtriser l’analyse, la résolution de problèmes, l’organisation et l’établissement de priorités.

  2. des résultats de leur entrevue et
  3. des résultats de toute évaluation de leurs compétences de conducteur.
