Branch Supervisor

Position Summary:

·To coordinate and supervise all sales and customer service activities to achieve satisfaction consistent with good business practices.

·Oversee customer and administrative activities and assist with the resolution of branch-related service issues.

Major Responsibilities:

·Responsible to support sales growth and profitability of the Branch.

·Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships.

·Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturer partners to ensure we are positioned as a strong channel in the Region.

·Prepare appropriate annual, monthly and weekly plans. Set reasonable goals with deadlines for completion and monitor results.

·Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

·Manage and train Branch employees to the Graybar Canada standards.

·Determine merchandise and services.

·Manage inventory control – including accuracy, daily cycle count input and variance reconciliation.

·Responsible for all building security.

·Responsible to direct and administer safe practices in accordance with company safety policies.

·Manage branch inventory levels on a daily basis to ensure local customer requirements are met.

·Set an example by following all company procedures and policies.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

·College diploma or equivalent work experience.

·Broad knowledge of Company’s products, services and operations.

·Understanding and commitment to Company quality goals and standards.

·Excellent communication skills and leadership skills required.

·Ability to handle customer complaints and mediate customer disputes.

·Working knowledge of PC’s including Microsoft Word and Excel.
