Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a culture that promotes inclusion, innovation, and productivity.

  • Provide ongoing training to hourly paid staff on cleaning procedures, WHMIS training, and company policies.
  • Advise the Operations Manager of any changes in building requirements that may impact work schedules or invoicing.
  • Establish work schedules and maintain accurate records of hours worked by employees.
  • Supervise, lead, motivate, and develop employees within assigned duties.
  • Ensure security reports are prepared for any damaged articles, breakage, or unusual circumstances.
  • Ensure periodic work is scheduled and completed on time according to account requirements.
  • Obtain special requests from clients and branch management and notify the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure Health and Safety requirements are followed and maintained.
  • Report WSIB issues to the Assistant Manager.
  • Order supplies according to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with incident investigations and tracking of discipline when necessary.
  • Maintain a record of all equipment and ensure it is kept clean and serviced.
Requirements:
  • Previous supervisory experience in the cleaning industry in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues.
  • Good communication and computer skills, with the ability to write simple reports and correspondence.
