Tasks:

  1. Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
  2. Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures
  3. Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems
  4. Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
  5. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
  6. Assess business opportunities and develop strategies
  7. Develop risk management plans
  8. Leading/instructing groups

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses:

  1. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  2. Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
  3. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
