DUTIES:
  1. Reporting to the Director, Fleet & Facility Development, this position will be responsible for the Fleet and Facility computerized maintenance management systems.
  2. Responsible for the day-to-day stockroom operations and supervision of the stockroom staff.
  3. Responsible for asset management for the department, including maintenance of asset inventories, management plans, work order management, preventative maintenance programs, inspection programs, condition assessment and ratings for maintenance and rehabilitation planning.
  4. Responsible for database security, data integrity, as well as generating financial, inventory and performance measurement reports in CMMS, TCA reports to Finance Department and reconciliation of data between systems.
  5. Input of information into respective CMMS system including engineering, financial, reactive and preventative work order management.
  6. Determine and coordinate large data needs such as conversions, migrations, collection, and verification of data as well as service requests from corporate departments.
  7. Responsible for operational reviews of current protocols and procedures to provide effective and efficient service delivery.
  8. Identify best practices and cost savings via the use of new technology and equipment and customized solutions.
  9. Will coordinate, develop and train staff on CMMS solutions as well as create procedure updates as required.
  10. Supports and provides direction to the fleet management group with respect to the Fleet Management System.
  11. Will be responsible for the implementation and departmental strategic initiatives related to the CMMS database.
  12. Will be required to prepare and present asset management planning reports such as asset needs studies, and condition ratings and rehabilitation to management to assist in their determination of major rehabilitation and reconstruction needs in budget planning.
  13. Could be required to cover various other maintenance supervisory shifts.
  14. Will perform Corporate Health and Safety duties as outlined in the Canada Labour Code Part II.
  15. Will perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have minimum of a College Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering or Computer Science and at least one year of experience in an operations or technical environment;

Must have experience in personnel supervision, contract administration, budget control and performance monitoring in a computerized and unionized environment;

Must have proven technical, communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills;

Must have thorough knowledge of appropriate safety, labour and related federal and provincial legislation, regulations and standards;

Should have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and knowledge of the hazards associated with the work;

Experience working with inventory systems would be considered an asset.

Progression through the Art of Supervision Program Certificate or a supervisory program of a similar nature is considered an asset;

The physical demands analysis associated with this job indicates a light level of work.
