Position:Technology Event Coordinator

Department:Information Technology

Reports to:IT Senior Network Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technology Event Coordinator will troubleshoot company supported software and hardware problems and receive requests for technology services during all events (i.e. hockey games, concerts, etc.). The incumbent will be responsible for providing first level assistance and for assigning/dispatching technical support through our ConnectWise Ticket System.

This role will focus on:

  • Providing first level support on computer hardware and software issues
  • Ensuring timely recording, tracking, escalation and resolution of end-user technical problems and requirements received via telephone, e-mail, or in person
  • Recording all calls in the Ticketing System as per escalation procedures and priority settings and assigning to appropriate Technology Team member
  • Updating documentation and schematics as required
  • Assisting in documenting and communicating user/technical service policies for products supported by the Help Desk

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Availability to work outside normal business hours i.e. evenings and weekends
  • Working towards a post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical related area
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Mac laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and assorted peripherals
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A willingness to learn
  • Highly organized, and detailed with an ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM)
  • Familiarity with networking is an asset
  • Onsite role at Rogers Arena
