Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Lead and motivate the team to adhere to safety standards and work efficiently under tight deadlines. Coordinate with project management and other departments to ensure HSE compliance across all activities. Provide HSE induction and ongoing training to staff, emphasizing the importance of safety in the workplace. Manage incident investigations and reporting, ensuring all incidents are documented and lessons learned are communicated and implemented. Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid measures. Liaise with external HSE regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE supervisory role within the oil and gas industry, specifically in shutdown operations. Recognized HSE qualifications, such as NEBOSH, CRSP, or equivalent. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to conduct training sessions and safety briefings. Knowledge of Indigenous communities and a commitment to promoting Indigenous employment and engagement. Proficiency in HSE management systems and software. Ability to work in a remote, camp-based environment with a 6 on/1 off, 12-hour shift schedule.
