They're seeking a talented and experienced Director of Engineering to join their exceptional team, who will be a key member of the leadership team. Your responsibilities will include growing and maintaining the engineering team, managing a team of engineers and design personnel, liaising with current and future clients, and ensuring team members successfully complete deliverables.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the Engineering Design Team, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  2. Oversee the design and implementation of engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  3. Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project success.
  4. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety regulations.
  5. Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation effectively.
  6. Maintain excellent rapport with key stakeholders.
  7. Develop business opportunities with both existing and potential clients.
  8. Track and report on cost and schedule performance of projects.
  9. Ensure statutory safety, health, and environmental compliance, emphasizing individual responsibility.
  10. Provide leadership in coaching, mentoring, personnel selection, and professional development to achieve prescribed objectives.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  1. Results-oriented with a proven track record of managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
  2. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
  3. Proficient in project management software and tools to facilitate efficient project execution.
  4. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  5. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Effective communication with all staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and facilitate meetings.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  11. Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures.
  12. Mentor and develop engineering team members.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years in a consulting engineering role.
  2. 5+ years in a management role.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree or higher (required).
  4. Professional Engineer registered with APEGGA, EGBC or equivalent.
  5. Driver's License (Required).
