The Safety Codes Council (“the Council”) is seeking an Administrator of Accreditation to lead Council’s standards of accreditation. The Council accredits municipalities, agencies, corporations, and regional service commissions to administer inspections and other safety services under the Safety Codes Act.

The Administrator is a statutory decisionmaker responsible for making key accreditation decisions in collaboration with a skilled team of professionals, and for establishing processes to review, assess, and make decisions, while managing a team that supports the Council’s accreditation program.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Post Secondary education in business administration, administrative law, public administration, or other relevant field.
  2. 5–7 years of related experience, including a background in public policy, program delivery, or policy implementation within the public sector.
  3. Experience administering programs in the Safety Codes System is a significant asset.
  4. Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects, including coordinating multiple stakeholders, setting clear objectives, and ensuring timely and successful completion of deliverables.
  5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts to translate complex information into actionable programs or strategies.
  6. Experience in delivering programs, including designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives to meet specific objectives and client needs.
  7. Skilled in addressing and resolving client inquiries and complaints with a focus on maintaining high levels of satisfaction and service quality.
  8. Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse audiences through public speaking and presentations, adapting messages to various stakeholders and settings.

WHAT WE OFFER

The base salary for this position is between $95,000 and 130,000, depending on education and experience.

Notes

Hybrid work with two anchor office days: Office location is 10405 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.

Hours of work: 36.25 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
