The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Marketing Operations, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist will be directly accountable for the development and deployment of a personalized digital customer experience (CX) inside 6 different Canadian Retailers. A Salesforce Marketing Cloud super-user, the successful candidate will be an Expert at crafting unified, complex customer journeys through touchpoints on website, paid media and email communications with an emphasis on increasing brand voice and value, while maintaining profitability for the enterprise.

**Please note, although this position is remote in nature, the successful candidate MUST presently reside within Canada to be considered. Required Experience and Qualifications
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud configuration and campaign deployment is required.
  • Demonstrated strength in the following areas of Salesforce Marketing Cloud:
  • Email Studio
  • Mobile Studio
  • Automation Studio
  • Journey Builder
  • Audience Builder
  • Contact Builder
  • Personalization (Interactive Studio)
  • Einstein
  • Cloudpages
  • Strong preference given to those with post-secondary education and/or comprehensive work experience as a UX/UI Developer
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications as "Email Specialist", "Administrator" or "Developer" are considered significant assests
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, targeted campaigns from setup to list segmentation, personalization, and automation
  • Comprehensive experience reading/writing AMPScript
  • Expertise in HTML5 and CSS3
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to generate creative ideas and solve problems
  • Energetic, resourceful and able to react quickly and professionally in all situations
  • Highly accountable with a proven ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the business

Responsibilities of the Position
  • Create medium and complex, unified journeys within Journey Builder for 6 unique businesses, leveraging various data sources and audiences to build optimal journeys and triggered sends
  • Utilize AMPscript to personalize email content, create dynamic content blocks, and implement conditional logic for a tailored user experiences (UX)
  • Create, configure, and manage data extensions to store and validate customer data, create/update lists and enable targeted segmentation in Contact Builder
  • Craft emails with dynamic content and personalization in Email Studio
  • Develop SQL queries within Automation Studio to extract and transform data from various sources, supporting personalized email content and dynamic campaigns
  • Action metrics into insightful analyses for optimization and roll up to leadership
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance while handling sensitive customer information during integration
  • Perform thorough A/B Testing of marketing campaigns prior to go-live to ensure efficacy
  • Other duties as/when required
