Our client is looking for Senior Project Managers with high rise construction experience within the GTA. You will bring a minimum of 10 years experience working on full cycle residential projects between 40-50 storeys.

Our client is a real estate developer and builder with low, mid, and high-rise projects across Ontario.

Description

  1. Oversees the project teams on their assigned sites to establish the project scope and ensure the job is completed within budget and according to schedule.
  2. Provide overall management, administrative and technical direction for one or more projects.
  3. Reviewing initial drawings and project scope to ensure that the project is built in accordance with these documents.
  4. Identifying and advising the senior management team of potential problems, work interference or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts.
  5. Overseeing the tendering and revision of contracts.
  6. Overseeing the preliminary construction schedule with the Project Superintendent and Team.
  7. Overseeing and signing off on various reports produced by the Project Team including monthly reports and submittal reports.
  8. Enforce company and project policies, main client interface, and are responsible for project performance including: budget/costs, schedule, quality and overall project status.
  9. The ability to read, interpret, analyze, and forecast a project's costs and determine the status of the job in terms of schedule and costing.
  10. Assessing potential risks and notifying owners on a continuous basis.
  11. Assure compliance with project construction schedule and budgets and assume responsibility for the commissioning of the project.
  12. Ensure comprehensive project close-out.

Profile

  1. Minimum of 10 years' construction experience in the high-rise residential industry.
  2. Educational and experience requirements include a construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  3. Minimum 2 full cycle high rise projects managed in the GTA. 40-50+ storeys in an asset.
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  5. Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on construction projects.
  6. Excellent knowledge of Tarion.
  7. Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents.
  8. Expert in budgeting, contracts, scope of work and tendering process.
  9. Experience with full cycle high-rise residential construction projects.
  10. Proficiency in Office and Project Management software (e.g. MS Office/Project).
  11. Ability to assume responsibility, interface and have superior communication and interpersonal skills essential.
  12. Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives.
