Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Work effectively as a member of an inter-professional team, collaborating with other disciplines to provide comprehensive client care.
  2. Contribute to the mandate of the organization as an educator, researcher, and clinician.
  3. Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development to provide optimal client care.
  4. Participate in ongoing quality improvement within the organization.
  5. Provide client care in accordance with all professional and organizational standards.
  6. Understand the impact of social determinants of health and possess strong knowledge of how to access and link patients to appropriate community resources.
  7. Skilled in CBT, crisis assessment and development, and addictions.

This role will provide counselling services, education, and community referrals, while working collaboratively with clients, families, internal and external partners.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counselling, or Clinical Psychology.
  2. Must be currently registered and in good standing with one of the following: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), or College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) for practice in all applicable clinical areas.
  3. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proven flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to supervise placement students preferred.
  6. Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills as they relate to client care.
