We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our esteemed Eating Disorders Program within the Mental Health Program at Credit Valley Hospital.
About the RoleAs an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care to individuals navigating the challenges of eating disorders. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to their recovery journey and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual counseling sessions tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
- Lead and co-lead DBT & CBT Skills groups, fostering a supportive environment for skill development and growth.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans based on your clinical expertise.
- Implement evidence-based therapies, including CBT-E, to effectively address eating disorder symptoms.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to hospital-based patient and family-centered care principles.
- Master's Degree in a regulated healthcare profession (Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Registered Psychotherapist) preferred.
- Membership with your professional college in good standing and authorized to practice independently.
- Minimum three years of clinical experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals living with an Eating Disorder.
- Extensive training and experience providing time-limited, evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
- Solid individual and group psychotherapy skills are essential.
- Knowledge of data collection tools and excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and maintain a positive work record.
