Contract: 9 months.

– Start date is ASAP
– At this point in time, there is no possibility of contract extension after the initial mandate
– Under current circumstances, the hired contractor will be expected to work remotely. However, when onsite work resumes, depending on the situation, the contractor may or may not be allowed to continue work remotely
DSRA PROJECT BRIEF:
• The mission of Delivery Systems Re-Architecture (DSRA) Program is to replace legacy Canada Post IT systems which support Addressing, Collection and Delivery Operations.
• The new platform will solve the IT obsolescence problem and enable value creation in future years for the delivery experience, marketing products, and continuous improvement in operations.
• The program is structured into a number of projects for Foundation and for Routing which will be deployed over the next 10 years.
• The many legacy systems that are essential to the core Addressing, Collection, Sortation and Delivery Operation, and to Canada Post’s commercial and consumer offerings are at end of life and can no longer evolve to meet the needs of our business.
The DSRA project requires a UX specialist that will be:
– Translating complex business requirements and user needs into a visually attractive, efficient and intuitive web application.
– Working closely with product owners and business analysts to maintain a healthy sprint backlog for the development team.
– Facilitating design sessions involving business stakeholders and development resources to map out effective user flows.
– Creating visualizations of user interfaces to help guide the development team and not only being able to share your results but also being able to articulate the thinking behind your work.
– Doing UI dev work in our low-code environment after the development team has built the application using your designs as guidance.
– Verifying that what gets built meets our design guidelines for the program.
– Helping maintain the program wide design guidelines that the UX team is responsible for.
– Working with multiple agile teams simultaneously.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
– Experience with Mendix Desktop modeller or other low-code platforms.
– Experience with Axure prototyping tool.
– Experience implementing accessibility best practices.
