Our client, a seasoned real estate development firm, specializes in projects across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. With a 40-year local legacy, their diverse portfolio includes mixed-use multifamily residences, commercial properties, and dedicated rental housing. We are currently seeking a Leasing Specialist for their Victoria, BC location (650 residential units).


Your new role

As Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the leasing team ensuring efficient and effective operations throughout the leasing process. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks will be essential in maintaining accurate records, coordinating lease agreements, and facilitating communication with tenants and property management staff. Your core responsibilities encompass conducting property viewings and presentations, arranging appointments, engaging with potential tenants, handling marketing and promotional efforts, managing tenant relations and communications, overseeing the leasing documentation and procedures, executing tenant evaluations and application procedures, maintaining the database and records, as well as coordinating property inspections and upkeep.


What you need to succeed

The ideal candidate for the Leasing Specialist position is someone with a proven track record in leasing or property management. They must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in property management software, particularly the Yardi suite, and Microsoft Office is essential. The role requires an individual who can work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, maintaining a polite and professional demeanor. They should be adaptable, remain composed under pressure, and have a proactive approach to sales with a focus on keeping vacancies low. The candidate should be able to follow instructions promptly and handle challenging situations with maturity, confidence, and tact.
