We are committed to building a high-performance, values-driven organization that supports both technical excellence and sustainable growth.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership. This position reports to the Managing Partner, and is responsible for assisting in strategic planning and making contributions to the development and accomplishments of Capital Engineering’s plans and objectives. This role is ideal for a practitioner who understands professional services environments and can balance compliance, people development, and business outcomes.This role spans strategic planning and operational execution, supporting engineers, project managers, and corporate staff throughout the employee lifecycle.You will play a key role in talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and organizational development in a technically complex, project-based environment.Position Responsibilities:Lead full-cycle recruitment process, including development of recruitment strategiesOnboarding new employeesEmployee relationsEmployee compensation and benefits administrationEmployee Service Awards ProgramMaintain HR policies, procedures, and employee recordsManage and continuously improve performance review and talent development processesManage the Fit for Duty ProgramAssist management with various corporate initiativesWhat we Value / Qualifications:Certificate, diploma or degree in Human ResourcesChartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation (or working towards) is preferredMinimum seven (7) years of direct Human Resources experienceExperience within an EPC/professional services environment is considered an assetStrong understanding of Canadian employment legislation (federal and provincial)Excellent communication and organizational abilitiesComfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentWork effectively, independently, and within a multi-disciplinary team environmentProficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointWhat’s in it for you?Opportunity to shape people strategy in a growing engineering firmHigh level of autonomy and direct access to leadershipCollaborative, professional culture with a focus on technical excellenceCompetitive compensation and health benefits packageExcellent work environment, free parking, nearby public transit, fitness and games roomsWork-life balance with flexible 4 or 5 day work week schedule optionsThis is a full-time permanent position located in Edmonton.Capital Engineering is an equal opportunity employer and we thank all applicants for submitting their resume.
