Join Our Team as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist - Contractor


Are you passionate about optimizing digital content and ensuring websites reach their full potential in search engine rankings? Marwick Marketing is seeking a dynamic and skilled SEO and Website Technician to join our team on a contract basis. As an integral part of our digital marketing department, you will be responsible for implementing SEO strategies, optimizing website performance, and enhancing user experience across all digital platforms.


Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Search Engine Optimization Specialist.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for website optimization.
  • Implement on-page and off-page SEO techniques to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content strategies.
  • Monitor website performance using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console.
  • Identify technical issues affecting website performance and implement solutions to improve site speed, user experience, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes to continuously improve SEO strategies and website performance.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on website performance and SEO metrics to key stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SEO optimization and website management.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Moz, or Ahrefs.
  • Strong understanding of website analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Must be familiar with popular website CMS systems like Wordpress and Shopify and comfortable implementing things like caching, new landing page development (Elementor and other common page builders), image compression and optimization and any other items required by the SEO strategy.
  • Server side knowledge or familiarity is a plus.
  • Experience in digital marketing and PPC is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and remotely
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
