This well-established distributor of industrial and electrical products to the commercial, industrial, and institutional markets is growing in Western Canada – more specifically in British Columbia. Our client has retained Cameron Lappin of Lock Search Group to aid them in their search for their new Software & Solutions Account Execuitve. This consultative, enterprise-level sales position will pursue, and target significant commercial, public sector and industrial key account opportunities.

The Software & Solutions Account Executive is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the sales relationship with each End User client/prospect in their portfolio at every level of the decision-making process including C level down to operational management. The incoming enterprise sales executive professional will be responsible for managing the entire sales process from identifying prospects, presenting software solution at multiple levels within a company, influencing the specification to negotiating contracts. The position will cover the BC portfolio so some regional travel will be required throughout the year, but the vast focus will be on the Lower Mainland & Greater Vancouver Region. This hybrid sales position is for a proven B2B sales professional how truly understands selling a ‘total cost of ownership model’…a consultative approach of selling on value. As well, a Business Development professional with a track record of selling software solutions and integration.

Position Overview:

  • a blend of End User clientele and Alliance partners to propel growth in the realm of software empowerment combined with Industrial Automation & Controls.
  • robust connections across all tiers of client organizations, grasping their operational methods, business motivations, and structural frameworks.
  • adherence to internal sales protocols.
  • expansion through synergistic alliances with strategic vendor partners
  • System Integrator allies proficient in various sectors/applications, capable of delivering tailored solutions to End User clientele.
  • alignment between pivotal client personnel and senior management.
  • managing designated accounts, strategizing for growth, nurturing a robust pipeline, steering opportunities to fruition, and assessing performance against objectives.
  • adept comprehension of industry dynamics (applications, standards/regulations, drivers, and trends), client organizations, desired outcomes, service offerings, delivery mechanisms, and partner capabilities pertinent to assigned accounts.
  • EcoSystem partners' sales and delivery teams in opportunity identification and promotion of Internal services.
  • influential relationships with key specifying engineers within the territory, persuading them to integrate our clients' solutions and technologies into their designs and bid proposals.

Requirements:

  • of a postgraduate degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent technical accreditation.
  • 5 -7 years solution-oriented sales with enterprise-level clients with software, encompassing sectors such as Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), including Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Personal Care, Water/Wastewater, Public Sector entities, and Metals Mining & Minerals.
  • technical acumen spanning Automation Systems and Solutions, PLC, CONTROLS, Drives, HMI, SCADA, MES, and Digital Services.
  • expertise in Solution Selling, Digital Transformation, Smart Factory, and Smart Plant initiatives.
  • with Business Solutions and Manufacturing Applications.
  • in cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, ranging from plant-level personnel to CXO executives, employing both top-down and bottom-up influence strategies.
  • Confident in abilities with CRM, and software platforms
  • Ability to connect in a face-to-face setting with Stakeholders
  • Valid Driver’s license
