Fuze HR is seeking a proactive and strategic leader for the position of Inventory Planning and Warehouse Management Lead for our client in Mississauga. In this role, you will oversee the inventory and logistics functions, ensuring smooth receipt and shipment of stock, maintaining inventory accuracy, and optimizing warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management and logistics, coupled with effective leadership skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team.


You must have minimum 5 years in end to end inventory and strong leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities:


Inventory Management:

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the inventory tracking system for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory levels to determine optimal stocking levels and prepare replenishment orders based on consumption trends and market conditions.
  • Monitor inventory statistics to identify high and low-selling products and make necessary adjustments.
  • Identify and manage obsolete and scrap inventory, ensuring proper documentation and recording in the ERP system.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on inventory operations, including stock levels and adjustments, and conduct root cause analysis for any variances.

Logistics and Shipping:

  • Coordinate and manage the shipping of outbound freight, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Direct the flow of materials and products within the organization to maintain efficiency.
  • Negotiate cost-effective rates for inbound and outbound freight.
  • Monitor and update the system with any changes to supplier shipment dates.
  • Maintain and manage schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.

Systems and Process Management:

  • Maintain and update the parts master, including adding new parts as required.
  • Manage relationships with Third-Party Warehouse (3PW) storage and inventory providers.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular counts and analysis, addressing discrepancies with corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders as needed, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare comprehensive month-end reports, including Supply and Demand analysis and a review of the top 50 items.
  • Generate and analyze reports on inventory operations and stock levels to provide actionable insights for decision-making.


Experience:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with the Inventory/Warehousing module of an ERP system (JD Edwards preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and contribute to group objectives.

Analytical and Organizational Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
