Position: Accounts Receivable Collections Clerk

Locations: Surrey, British Columbia

Salary: Up to $60,000 CAD - Depending on experience.


** Must have AR experience in the Construction Industry **


Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned portfolio of accounts receivable, identifying and prioritizing overdue payments.
  • Proactively contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding balances.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies to ensure accurate collection efforts.
  • Negotiate and establish realistic payment arrangements with customers.
  • Document all collection activities and communication with customers.
  • Escalate unresolved accounts to the designated supervisor when necessary.
  • Generate reports on collection efforts and account aging.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective collection strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in collections in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of collection principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a professional and courteous demeanour.
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries and objections thoughtfully and effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
