C3 AI is looking for an Industry Leader with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance experience in sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, LNG, utilities, pharmaceuticals, or heavy manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of direct manufacturing or consulting experience delivering strategic, operational, management, and/or technical initiatives with a focus on process optimization, energy management, profitability, equipment reliability, and operations performance. The role blends Technical Project Management, Product Development, and Business Development. Industry Leaders drive cross‑functional efforts to apply C3 AI solutions to complex predictive and prescriptive problems for new domains and customers, identify and quantify high‑impact business opportunities, scope them into tractable AI/ML projects, and lead delivery of high‑value solutions. This position requires onsite presence 5 days a week in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Responsibilities Use domain and technical expertise to understand the business landscape and how data, AI, ML, and engineering converge to solve challenging problems. Contribute domain knowledge to guide data science efforts and lead customer conversations. Drive solution delivery with compelling business value. Maintain close client relationships, validate deliverables, and facilitate external customer reviews. Facilitate project activities, including scoping workshops, requirements gathering, use‑case definition, product specification, data and solution architecture design, and compliance with industry regulations. Collaborate with C3.ai product managers to build industry‑leading applications, solutions, features, and capabilities. Lead configuration, customization, and extension of application functionality and end‑user experience in partnership with product management. Enhance C3.ai’s external recognition through thought pieces, industry outreach, and presentations at conferences. Provide objective advice, expert insights, and specialized skills to support projects and solve customer problems. Drive internal process improvements and deliver best practices across functional teams. Support sales during opportunity assessment and capture, especially for domain‑specific requirements, regulations, deployment, timeline, and deliverables. Assist in creating statement‑of‑work content, ensuring scope, deliverables, assumptions, risks, and resources are clearly defined and compliant with industry rules and regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum preferred). Minimum five years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or management driving profitability, reliability, or providing specialized consulting services. Experience with industry tools such as data historians, time‑series visualization, process modeling software, advanced process controls, and advanced data analytics. Experience working with process signals, enterprise asset management systems, engineering drawings, and laboratory analysis. Proven organizational and coordination skills with the ability to multi‑task across several initiatives. Excellent presentation and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with internal and cross‑functional teams on scope, objectives, project plans, and deliverables.
