We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Ingersoll, Ontario. You will play a key role in managing invoice processing and maintaining accuracy in financial records.Responsibilities:- Process and verify approximately 100 invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.- Utilize the Great Plains Dynamics system to input, track, and manage financial data effectively.- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.- Assist with coding invoices and ensuring proper documentation for all transactions.- Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors.- Collaborate with team members to support the accounting department's needs.- Use Microsoft Excel to create and manage spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting.- Adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth operations during the contract period.- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role is required.- Proficiency in using the Great Plains Dynamics system preferred.- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic functions and data management.- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.- Ability to handle a high volume of invoices efficiently.- Strong organizational and time management skills.- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a small accounting team.- Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
