The CPE is seeking Communications Advisors (PS4) for various ministries within the Government of Alberta. This role provides consulting services and support to clients, collaborating closely with other communications advisors. Responsibilities include planning and attending ministerial announcements, creating engaging communications materials, and leveraging social media and digital platforms effectively.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Collaborating with clients to develop and implement strategic communications plans and key messages. Applying creativity and innovation to tackle projects and solve complex problems. Researching, writing, and editing a variety of communications tools. Planning, preparing, and executing communications events and media availabilities. Supporting cross-government communications initiatives. Assisting senior branch members as needed.


As a Communications Advisor, you’ll need to understand the goals and priorities of the Government of Alberta and how they align with ministry deliverables and stakeholder needs. Proven relationship-building skills are essential for developing networks and becoming a trusted advisor in areas such as issues management, communications planning, and media event planning.

A strong drive for results will empower you to deliver high-quality, strategic plans and products that engage target audiences.
