Heavy Duty Cleaner job involves heavy cleaning work, including hard floor surfaces, surfaces reached by ladder or scaffolding, and garbage collection.

You will be responsible for cleaning hard floor surfaces, including dry mopping, wet mopping, and polishing. You will also strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required.

  • Clean hard floor surfaces, including dry mopping, wet mopping, and polishing
  • Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when required
  • Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactor
  • Operate the compactor and clean it on a regular basis
  • Transport maintenance machinery between floors and job sites
  • Clean glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding, or other extension equipment
  • Clean washroom floors, including washing, stripping, and finishing
  • Clean stairwells and elevator cabs
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and dust ceiling light fixtures and ceiling fans
  • Use pile lifting equipment to restore certain types of carpet
  • Shampoo broadloom and use extracting equipment to clean broadloom
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is required. You must be able to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
