Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, collect information from various sources, and make nursing diagnoses to determine the best course of action.
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families on health and wellness.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery, and coordinate nursing care for patients.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Education and Research: Participate in research and quality improvement activities, identify patient care issues, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Education: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Experience: Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Certifications: Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
