Registered Nurse

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care to patients in acute inpatient areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, collect data from various sources, and make informed nursing diagnoses to determine the best course of care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote patient-centered care and autonomy.
- Participate in the care and discharge planning process, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication with the interprofessional care team.
- Coordinate nursing care, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities to support staff, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to identify and resolve issues, adjust care plans as needed, and address changes in patient condition.
- Teach patients and families about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance to empower them to achieve their healthcare goals.
- Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, interventions, patient responses, outcomes, and referrals according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams using verbal, written, and electronic communication means.
- Ability to promote person-centered care, demonstrate empathy, and advocate for patient rights and autonomy.
- Ability to integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to problem-solve effectively.
- Ability to teach and instruct patients and families about essential health topics.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, collaborate with the interprofessional care team, and use evidence-based practice to inform nursing decisions.
