About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care. They will also be able to travel to other sites as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience in a Diagnostic Imaging setting is an asset
  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
  • Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
  • Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 12 months
  • Shift work and call required, evenings, nights, and weekends
Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $37.54 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus or relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
