Alarm Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Alarm Operator to join our Victoria-based Response Center, coordinating emergency response for a diverse portfolio of clients nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service while remaining calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Actively listen to callers, summarizing key information and entering it into our computer system.
  • Seek win-win solutions, maintaining professionalism in cases of healthy conflict and supporting differences of opinion.

Requirements:

  • Ability to remain calm and provide direction in emergency situations.
  • Customer service, dispatch, hospitality, and outgoing call center experience is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Mental flexibility and situational awareness within a team-based environment.
  • Ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) would be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft-based applications.
